Let the dead bury the dead

A twist on Christ’s line: “Let the dead bury the dead.”

Here, the phrase becomes literal and modern. The buried are still scrolling. The gravedigger is still scrolling. The dead are not only underground. They are the ones who have surrendered presence, attention, grief, duty, and reality to the device in their hands.

This artifact is about spiritual death before physical death: people alive enough to consume, but too absent to mourn, act, or wake up.
